A new vista. There are certain elements of any Country's history which we would prefer hadn't happened, but in the main we are proud of our heritage, our history and the achievements and ideals which we attempt to conserve and protect in this new century.  What am I talking about?  Why do I bring up this nonsense?  Well I guess I'm making a link between the old and the new; and this is something which we as a sanding business get to be a part of in, London its surrounding districts and counties.  Preserving a wooden floor which has survived through fires and years of war back to its former glory is something we are proud of here at the floor restoration company. There are many cases where an older building has been renovated to bring it into line with current styles or to ensure its safety or structural integrity. Very often a sanding company like ourselves will be brought in to provide the same kind of service to the floor. There is definitely a sense of achievement about restoring a wooden floor back to its original lustre and shine. Of course some of the jobs come complete with their own unique problems which are there to be overcome. An older floor could well have been treated a number of times already, which makes things difficult when considering that some floors can only be sanded up to 9 times before the integrity of the wood is compromised.  With some newly installed wooden flooring the options for sanding can be reduced down to once or twice, depending on the thickness.  But we thrive on a challenge, and as I say, are proud to offer a service which helps to blur the lines between the old and the new; sanding floors means we get to see inside some interesting buildings and get to work on some fairly historic floors.
